Aquaonline is a digital marketing agency that creates brand experiences for its customers, working across web, mobile, interactive TV and kiosks to provide interactive marketing, digital solutions, research and interface design, plus hosting and monitoring.
The agency was acquired by WPP Digital in 2007 to establish digital capabilities within South Africa. The agency has since grown year on year and currently boasts a total of 15 major clients, which include MTN, BMW Group, Coca Cola SA, Samsung and Pick ‘n Pay.
2008 was a successful year in terms of the recognition of the agencies creative ability with various campaigns nominated in The Loeries, Bookmarks and the global Lester Wunderman awards.
Another highlight for the year was the fact that Aquaonline was accredited by Google. In order to qualify for such an endorsement, the agency had to amongst other things, pass the Google Advertising Professionals Accreditation. The significance of this validation is that Aquaonline is part of an elite group that are recognised as tested and qualified Adwords resellers.
Other successes include new account gains. Coca Cola SA and Pick n Pay are the two new wins that affirm Aquaonline’s positioning as a top digital agency player. It was also a year of exciting, creative campaign activity, which gave birth to innovative campaign activations for Mini JCW, Samsung Innovat8 and BMW 3 Series.
The agency has moved to modern and colourful new office space in Hyde Park that has inspired the team.
